The New Kildonan Park Playground
The new playground at Kildonan Park has yet to officially open, but is already a smashing success with children young and old. Nestled beneath a glorious canopy of mature trees, the playground creates a lovely shady spot to enjoy one of Winnipeg’s oldest and most loved parks. HTFC’s design incorporates special features, such as: two distinct areas to enhance the play experience for younger and older children; areas of opportunity for both individual and group play; a tricycle loop for young children; a climbable rock for the older ones and accessible play for children of all abilities – all surrounded by a landscape of multi-sensory textures and colours.
The new playground compliments the recent improvements to the Kildonan Park Outdoor Pool and the new splash pad.
