Folk Festival in the City
On Friday, November 22, HTFC Planning & Design attended Folk Festival in the City, the annual gala fundraiser for the Winnipeg Folk Festival. All funds raised at the event go towards WFF Education and Outreach programs. HTFC staff sponsored four youth to take part in the Musical Mentors Program, which pairs mentors with groups of high school age youth who may not have access to music programs in their schools. We are continually proud to support the WFF’s mandate of bringing music to our community year round!
Our own Mark Bauche was the lucky winner of the Glowstick Glamping Giveaway draw, walking away with two passes to the 2014 festival complete with a spot in the campground with a Boler trailer for the entire weekend!
Just like the festival itself, the evening was filled with food and music from this year’s Artistic Achievement Award recipient, Ani DiFranco, as well as Mariachi Ghost, Haley Carr, and The Bros Landreth. And there was dancing (lots of dancing). We are already very excited for next year’s festival. Only 225 days to go!
Here are some panoramic pairs of photos taken during construction and at this year’s festival:
