VGH Miracle Garden Wins Access Award
HTFC is proud to announce that the Victoria General Hospital Miracle Garden has been recognized for its accessible design at the City of Winnipeg’s 20th Annual Access Awards.
VGH Foundation Executive Director Charlene Rocke, and our own Monica Giesbrecht, Design Lead on the project, accepted the Award of Excellence in Accessible Site Design. We extend our congratulations to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority for funding and overseeing the design and construction of this unique healing space, and to all of the consultants and contractors involved in its design and construction: SMS Engineering, Crosier Kilgour and Partners, Shelmerdine Ltd., Ful-Flo Industries, Crystal Fountains, Sign-Ex Manufacturing, Koch Stainless Steel, RD Sales, Control Electric, and public artist Erica Swendrowski.
